On Monday, 25 August 2025, Citi FM’s Umaru Sanda Amadu (USA) asked the Member of Parliament (MP) for Talensi, Daniel Dung Mahama, a number of questions on Point Blank, an in-depth analysis segment of the station’s evening news broadcast, Eyewitness News.

The questions started with the meaning of the lawmaker’s middle name “Dung” and further covered a range of issues relating to the constituency’s location, economic activities, challenges and the ongoing protests waged by scores of Talensi residents against the Chinese mining companies operating in the area, among others.

The answers the MP gave to the basic questions posed by the host during the face-to-face interview, as shown in the video below, were mostly inaccurate.

Widely known for its abundant mineral deposits, Talensi is both a constituency and a district in Upper East, a region in the northern part of Ghana.

This reel basically seeks to address misinformation by exposing the false details the MP gave on the air concerning his own constituency and by providing the right answers, gathered from trusted sources and drawn from existing facts already known to the public, to those questions.

Kindly watch the excerpts in the video below:
